Sterling Building & Design, LLC has been working in the local Tucson and Southern Arizona market for decades. We’ve seen our Old Pueblo grow and prosper and become quite the large “small” town. Our Founder
Mr. Michael Tashman
Tucson General Contractor and Founder, Sterling Building & Design LLC
- Born in New York City on October 9, 1934.
- Elementary education at Columbia Grammar School.
- Graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics.
- Attended the Coast Guard Academy and served as an Officer in the Coast Guard Reserve.
- Moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1960 and founded Tashman Building Company, Inc. a prominent real estate developer and general contracting firm which was active until 1987.
- Retired and moved to Hamilton, Montana living there for four years.
- Worked as the National Field for Nova Shalom, a marriage ministry during which time he and Elizabeth, his wife, traveled throughout the United States living in a motorhome.
- Moved to Denver, Colorado in 1996 and developed real estate facilities for 5 major Charter Schools in the Denver and Fort Collins area.
- Retired again and moved to back to Tucson, Arizona in 2000.
- Came out of retirement and has been active in business concentrating on house acquisition and remodeling and reselling until the present time.
